The Architectural Design faculty members with stage three students organized a scientific visit to the Hotel Babylon Rotana aiming at promoting the integration of theoretical knowledge with the practical application of the architectural projects.
The Hotel official has organized tours for the students to inspect the intersection set of systems of the Hotel Project as this hotel is the project they will be working on in the second semester of the academic year. These tours included identifying all the hotel service areas that included
Electrical and Mechanical Service System
Restaurant and kitchen department’s system
Vertical and Horizontal motility System
External and Internal activities System
Meetings Halls sections
The pattern of the boarding rooms and their connection to the motility system.

Doctorate Thesis Discussion Titled ( Digital Morphology In Architecture)

The discussion was held on Thursday, March 9, 2022 at nine A.M, at the postgraduate study hall in the Department of Architectural Engineering at the University of Technology.
The thesis discussed the concept of digital morphology in terms of studying the structure and shape reflection in the surrounding environment. It is considered one of the concepts associated with algorithmic architecture and barometric architecture.
The thesis focused on the impact of this concept in the analysis and the interpretation of the digital formation of architectural products. Morphological design strategies were extracted.

Designing an illustrated poster concerning job preparing in the field of architecture

The Graduate Follow-Up Unit in the department of Architecture completed an illustrated poster reviewing the stages followed up by the new graduates that precede searching for a job in the field of architecture. These steps include preparing a brief CV, Resume and Portfolio for the student's architectural work, skills and hobbies, in addition to creating professional accounts on social media. The Graduate Follow-up Unit will organize an introductory lecture in the second course on each of these steps. Poster designer: student Joanne Hamed.

Minister of Youth and Sports Meeting - a scientific visit organizing

His Excellency the Minister of Youth and Sports, Mr. Adnan Dirjal, met the representative of our department, Dr. Bilal Samir Ali and a group of third and fourth stage students participating in the Scientific Innovations Exhibition sponsored by the Iraqi Ministry of Youth and Sports / Scientific Care Department.
During the meeting, the Minister praised the students’ participation in the Scientific Innovations Exhibition, stressed that the Ministry welcomes students’ engineering projects, and all purposeful youthful ideas ,the ministry will remain supportive of projects contributing to Iraq building.
After the meeting, a scientific visit was organized to the buildings of the Olympic Champion Academy in the city of Bismayah, where the students were informed to the contemporary designs and methods of implementation of the buildings in accordance with the syllables related to the architectural and structural and electrical design, mechanical and health services
Iraqi Universities Championship Awards for Fast Chess ( male and female students) Of the Academic year 2021-2022

In the presence of the President of the University of Technology , the scientific and administrative assistants, heads of the departments and committee members in addition to the participating delegations. The Iraqi Universities Chess Championship for male and female students has started In the main hall of the University Of Technology theater with an unprecedented participation of 208 students (male and female) players which representing 50 public and private universities and colleges.
The Department of Architecture participants are Qabas Mustafa and Rawan Saadi, the fifth stage students , participated in the university’s team for female students in chess, and the team granted the second rank in the Universities Championship.
Final submission of the second project (student center at the University of Technology) for third stage students

The third stage students completed the final submission of the (Techno Student Center-Book Store project, which is the second project within the requirements of the first semester of the 2021-2022 academic year for the architectural design subject, under the supervision of Dr. Abdullah Saadoun Al-Maamouri, the third stage supervisor and the professors of the four stage. Where three proposed sites were selected within the University of Technology campus, and this came with the aim of creating a future vision
that represents the university’s need for such a facility that combines the marketing, entertainment and cultural aspects.
The students’ outputs combine the realization of space-time affiliation and their symbolism, as well as the achievement of functional and formal aspects, as well as structural and facilities systems.
