Dr. Yahya Ibraheem, presented the topic of his doctoral thesis in terms of the learning journey and the most important contributions to knowledge of the thesis, from which the researche won two eliter international awards. The workshop was attended by a group of researchers and PhD candidates at the University of Brighton.

Written by sohaibIraqi Academic Syndicate has invited the representative of the syndicate at architectural department in university of technology , (Dr. Nagham Ahmed Jassim), and Dr. Yahya Adel Ibraheem, a member of our department’s academic staff, to attend the founding ceremony of the Iraqi Academic Syndicate - the Iraqi Academic Day - which was held in the Gilgamesh Hall in Babylon Hotel on Tuesday 4/4 / 2023. Notable presence of the representatives of His Excellency the President of the Republic, His Excellency the Prime Minister, and a group of representatives of ministries, in addition to members of the House of Representatives from the Parliamentary Education Committee, and the heads of Iraqi universities and colleges. The ceremony began with a fragrant recitation from the Holy Qur’an, followed by the speech of the President of the Academic Syndicate, and then a review of the most important challenges facing higher education. The ceremony concluded with a historical show from the Institute of Arts and honoring a group of distinguished Iraqi academics.
In cooperation with the Tasweer Cultural Platform, the Department of Architecture at the University of Technology held a workshop entitled "The Eye of Architecture" on Wednesday, the 29th of March 2023, Architecture departments from various universities participated.
Our department was represented by the first stage student Hussein Ali Nuri from. During the workshop, Students discussed the opportunities to apply for workshops, training and seminars.
The workshop was concluded by a tour in the headquarters of Makers – Iraq with incentive rewards to five students from the Department of Architecture represented by a 50% discount for a month in the creativity space.
Dr. Wahda Al Hinkawi , the architectural and urban design professor and members of the design team organized a workshop for urban housing Model project On Sunday April 02, 2023, for the fourth stage students .The detailed basics of the planning and architectural aspects of each model were discussed by the students at the end of the workshop.
The teaching staff of the first stage organized seminars on Thursday , March 30, 2023, under the supervision of free sketching professors, a special exhibition of the most prominent free sketching of the first-stage students was displayed.
Architectural projects in watercolors and wood colors in addition to the various sketching techniques that reflected the students' capabilities in adjusting the scale, percentage , proportionality, and the effect of the presentation..
The teaching staff of the fifth stage of the design thesis subject organized seminars on Sunday April 02, 2023 to discuss students’ graduation projects, especially the requirements for pre-final submission.
Architectural plans, facades, and architectural models were discussed in order to prepare all the fine details that related to the parts of the graduation project for each student
A Scientific Visit To The University Technology Theater
Written by sohaibUnder the supervision of the professors (Dr. Qais Abdul Hussein and Assistant lecturer Enas Ali), the department of architectural engineering organized a scientific visit for the fourth stage students to the university theater on Thursday , March 30, 2023 as a practical application of sound indicators as a means to measurement of sound indicators by adopting audio devices as a practical measure to study sound in audio spaces with the aim of preparing them as graduate engineers.

Written by sohaibThe professors of architecture acoustics subject of the five stage students (Dr. Qais Abdel-Hussein and Dr. Enas Ali) organized a scientific visit within the framework of preparing the students as graduate engineers, on Monday, March 20, 2023.The team visited the theater of the University of Technology, where construction works are being carried out. The students were briefed to the techniques of good acoustic design, which includes the method of distributing insulating, reflective and sound-diffusing materials to regulate the acoustic properties, as well as the finishing materials details for all levels of the theater.
Presidency Of The Architectural Engineering Department Meeting With High Ranked Faculty Staff

During the meeting, an extensive discussion and consultation took place concerning the administrative and scientific affairs of the department, foremost of which is the issue of accreditation of scientific disciplines from the Iraqi Engineering Education Accreditation Council.

The Volleyball Championship Tournament –University of Technology

In the presence of the Administrative Assistant of the President of the University, the University of Technology Volleyball Championship was tormented on Tuesday March 14th 2023. The team of the Architectural Engineering Department, under the supervision and training of (Dr. Huda Muhammad Suleiman), was granted the winning cup, in addition to the medals as an encouragement gesture for their worthy success .
An Outstanding Student Projects Exhibition For The First Semester
Written by sohaibUnder the auspices of the Head of the Architectural Engineering Department, Professor Dr. Ibrahim Jawad Al-Youssif, with the supervision of the of architectural design teaching staff for the third stage, aiming at encouraging the students and enhancing the spirit of competition among them, the Department of Architecture held a student activity represented by an exhibition of distinguished student projects for the first semester, which included architectural design for two projects :
- The first project / a sustainable development center in different residential sectors in Baghdad
The second project: a five-star hotel in Al-Rasheed Camp.
