A scientific visit for third-year students - Architectural Design Branch
On Thursday, February 22, 2024, the Architectural Design Subject Officer - Architectural Branch
(Professor Dr. Safaa Al-Din Al-Samarrai) and members of the teaching staff organized a scientific visit for
the students of the third stage / Architectural Design Branch to the Neurological Sentence Hospital in Al-
Rusafa, to review the design and implementation aspects. of the hospital building, to increase students’
knowledge about the project proposal in the architectural design subject for the second semester. The
scientific visit included an extensive tour with the hospital’s engineering staff, a presentation of the
project’s departments and facilities, and an explanation of the functional, constructional, service, and
environmental solutions for hospital buildings of various types.

Participation of the Architectural Engineering Department in a training workshop
The Department of Architecture Engineering, represented by (Assistant Lecturer Enas Ali Salman),
participated on Wednesday, 2/21/2024, at exactly ten o’clock in the morning, in the Department of
Communications Engineering in the Green Hall, in the training workshop entitled “Women Leaders,
Challenges and Achievements in the Political Field,” which was held by The Women’s Empowerment
Unit in cooperation with the Department of Registration and Student Affairs at the University of
Technology in cooperation with the Department of Communications Engineering, which was delivered
by the training advisor (Saad Hussein Ali), international lecturer and trainer in the field of preparing
international leaders and trainers. The workshop aimed to raise awareness of the prominent role of
women in political work in Iraq, as Women s participation has witnessed sustained development over
the years, which was reflected in women assuming many governmental and parliamentary positions.

A scientific visit for third-year students - Urban Design Branch
The Architectural Design Subject supervisor - Urban Branch (Assistant Professor Dr. Khansaa Ghazi
Rashid) organized the project with the facilitation of the Baghdad Provincial Council on Tuesday,
February 20, 2024.
A scientific visit for the students of the third stage / Urban Design Branch to the Al-Shaab public Hospital
under construction to review the design and implementation aspects of the hospital building in a way
that increases the students’ knowledge about the project proposal in the architectural design subject for
the second semester. The scientific visit included an extensive tour with the hospital’s engineering staff
and a presentation of the departments. The project facilities and an explanation of the functional,
constructional, service, and environmental solutions for hospital buildings of various types and the
specificity of the Al-Shaab public hospital as a contemporary style that takes into consideration the
standards of the Iraqi Ministry of Health.

Participation of the Architectural Engineering Department in the interior design workshop at Uruk Private University
Within the framework of scientific co operation between public and private universities, (Assistant
Lecturer Enas Ali Salman) participated in the interior design workshop in the Department of Architecture
at Uruk University, entitled “The Role of Acoustic Design in Shaping Interior Space” on Monday,
02/19/2024, and the workshop aimed to clarify integration. Between acoustic design requirements and
other design requirements, the architectural field and interior design are closely linked to what achieves
the functional performance of the space. The workshop also addressed the definition of the most
prominent facilities that focus on good acoustic distribution of their architectural spaces and their
acoustic standards.
