The Department of Architecture at the University of Technology awarded the Master's Degree to Mustafa Ali Medalloul for his thesis entitled " urban consolidation ".
The discussion was attended by the assistant head of the department for scientific affairs and postgraduate studies. Dr. Basim Hassan Hashem and a group of lectures academic and postgraduate students.
The researcher discussed the The concept of urban integration In many of the proposals linking the existing and the new system, the process of creating a new interactive urban environment integrated with the existing fabric. , The research problem was related to (lack of a comprehensive theoretical framework for the characteristics and mechanisms of integration of the new and existing urban system). The importance of the research is to explore the ways and mechanisms adopted in the international development projects with the aim of integrating them with the surrounding context, and to develop a model for the mechanisms of integrating the new urban system and re-evaluating the urban development projects in the city of Baghdad.

The Graduation Unit held a workshop entitled “Parmetry design and contemporary applications “ .
The workshop that includes the research and discussion of a set of issues as the following scopes :
- First scope :- Introduction to the parametric design.
- Second scope :- Applied comparison between barometric design programs and other programs.
The concept of performance design before and after barometric design applications.
Review of projects completed by participants in the Perfomative Design workshop.
The workshop managed by lecture Dr. Bilal Samir Ali and lecturer academic Aws Jwad Jaafer with the participats of a group of fourth stage Esra Mohammed Hussein, Ayat Ali Nafie, Sada Mazen, Nour Mubarak and Ghaith Laith from third stage .
The Department thanks all who contributed to this workshop and wish all the progress and success to serve the scientific process of our beloved Iraq.
Workshop on "Basic Concepts and Green Building Strategies"
Written by NajahThe Architecture Department at the University of Technology has been held in Blue Hall a workshop in collaboration with INTEGRATIVE SUSTAINABLLTY GROUP ISG, which works in several fields including: Design, SUSTAINABILTY ENVIROMENT, MODELING, TRANING under the title "Basic Concepts and Strategies of Green Buildings" on 27-3-2018 under the supervision of Head of the Department, Mr. Ibrahim Jawad Al-Qai, the head of the department, welcomed the attendance and the distinguished guests. The opening of the workshop was attended by the assistant of the head of the department for scientific affairs and postgraduate studies, Dr. Bassem Hassan Hashem and the assistant head of the department for administrative affairs. Abdullah Saadou The workshop aimed at introducing the concept of green buildings and its impact on the external environment of the urban communities. The workshop included a lecture about a number of axes that were presented by the director and founder of the company from the Arab Republic of Egypt Dr. Eng. Hani Salem: - The first theme: - Presentation of the basic information on global warming, sustainable development, green BAMANI and the approved accreditation system. The Department of Architecture holds the 35th Annual Exhibition

In the attending by of the President of the University, Prof. Amin Douai Thamer, the Head of the Department, Dr. Ibrahim Jawad Kazim, the Assistant Head of the Department for Scientific Affairs and Graduate Studies, Dr. Bassem Hassan Hashim, and the Assistant Head of the Department for Administrative Affairs . Members of Faculty and postgraduate of students. The Department of Architecture at the University of Technology held its 35th Annual Exhibition (35th) since its establishment in 1977. On the other hand, this year's exhibition included a variety of distinguished projects, On housing projects containing residential complexes , Health projects included the establishment of hospitals and health complexes as well as educational projects aimed at the establishment of schools in all stages of education that serve the sector of education and kindergartens in addition to development projects that contribute to the improvement in the construction of all sectors including infrastructure () Infrastructure, General directions of the country.
Finally, the Department extends its thanks and gratitude to all those who participated in the annual exhibition and wish all the progress and prosperity to serve our beloved Iraq.

Written by NajahThe Department of architecture at the University of Technology has been held a scientific session at the blue hall in the department entitled " The reality ofarchitectural education " on 5 - 3 - 2018 under the supervision of the head of the department Prof Dr. Ibrahim Jawad Kazem and organized by Prof. Dr. Sana Shataa Abbas and Asst prof Dr. Safaa alddin Hussein .
Head of the department has been presented a welcoming speech on the attendance and distinguished guests the opening of the Session were attended by the assistant of the head of the department for scientific affairs and postgraduate studies Asst prof Dr. Bassim Hassan Hashem and the assistant head of the department for administrative affairs Asst Prof Dr. Abdullah Saadoun Salman and number of faculties as well as postgraduate and primary students in the department .
The GOAL of the Session was to introduce the latest developments in architectural education and how to upgrade it to a high degree of scientific and cognitive competence.
The session included three main lectures that were divided among a number of lectures:- ·
The first lecture: - presented by Prof. Asmaa Hussein, entitled "Data self-organized education".·
The second lecture: - Presented by Asst prof Dr. Suzanne Abdul Hussein from University of AL-Nahrain entitled "University education in the departments of architecture as one of the pillars of the sustainable development of society" .·
The third lecture: - Presented by Dr. Mustafa Kamel Kazem entitled "Vision in the reliability of architectural education.
At the end of the session the head of the department concluded by a thanks words and appreciation given the certificates of appreciation to the all participants and lecturers and wishing all more brilliance and progress to service of building our beloved Iraq.
