The faculty staff of the architectural design (first stage) organized a scientific visit to the Museum and Martyr monument in Baghdad. The preference of the monument comes to its proximity to the subject of human level in architecture study. This visit represents a unique experience of modesty of human being within the internal and external spaces, which the student does not experience in the usual residential and educational spaces, a matter that enhance the design effort of the monument aiming at reflecting its sense of prestige and greatness
Orphan Children Visit To The Department of Architecture
Written by zahraaIn accordance with the memorandum of understanding between the University of Technology - Department of Architecture and the Khulani Cultural and Charity Foundation, which enhances the University's relationship with the community to promote the voluntary work, the department hosted 30 orphan children. The event included educational and instructional activities for children. The head of the department welcomed the initiative members praising their good well in treating the orphan children kindly and humanely.
The Department of Architecture held a declarative seminar for the students of Iraqi Young Leaders Exchange (IYLEP)Program (Steven;s initiative). Dr. Yahia Adel in addition to the students delivered alecture explaining ( Canvas platform ) of distant learning program adopted by Ball state university .
Faculty staff of architectural design headed by Prof.Dr. Sana Sati , Dr. Rwa Fawzi Naoum, Dr. Mofid Ihsan Al-Shawk, Dr. Nada Abdul-Muin , Assistant lect. Ban Jalil , Dr. Sherine Kamil, Assitant lect.Nada Khalil as members , in addition to the fourth stage student ,visited the residential city of Basmaya to view the procedures of designing a huge residential units in addition to designing a small residential units, the tour aiming at enhancing the theoretical knowledge of the students by linking this knowledge to the practical application in the design field .
A Seminar Titled “International Standards In Hospital Designs” Held At The Department Of Architecture

The main goal of this seminar is to improve the knowledge of students, especially the students of the third stage preparing a hospital design project .

Final presentation of the Iraqi Military Museum Project
Written by zahraaUnder the supervision of Dr. Zainab Hussein Rauf ( the head of the project) along with Dr. Rana Mazin, Dr. Enas Salem, Dr. Oday Abbas, Dr. Shamael Mohammed Wajih ,Dr. Ahmed Hashim Hameed, Assist.Lect.Muhimn Basim and Assist.Lectur..Ahmed Abed Chalub as members,the third stage submitted its second design project (Iraqi Military Museum) . The project lasted for two months, within this period ,a series of activities and lectures were included to enhance the project. The project's initial submission continued to reach the final output. Following is a group of projects selected for students in their final presentation.

The seminar was held at the Department of Architecture / University of Technology in cooperation with Al-Kholani Cultural Public Benefit Foundation .
The head of the department gave a speech which broadcasting online welcoming the guests and the participants .within his speech, he referred to the importance of Certification Accreditation Service in using the programs of the Department of Architecture and University of Technology in the global universities, according to the directions of the ministry of higher education and scientific research and the presidency of university of technology.
The representative of the Al-Khalani Foundation spoke about the activities of the Foundation and its support for youth talents including the university students and employees. It is to be mentioned the previous cooperation praised by His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
Assist.lecturer Ali Hussein Al-Kahachi, one of the department's lecturer and a certified instructor by Auto Desk and Adobe, presented his lecture entitled "(Definition and Qualification) of the International accreditation tests of Autodesk & Adobe companies "
Dr. Bashar Shamil Al-Khafaji, one of the department's lecturers and a professional in Adobe programs, gave his lecture entitled "Introducing and Preparing for International Reliability Certificates in Engineering Programs and Auto Desk"
The symposium was broadcast for the first time live on the Internet is praised by University of Technology president.
Presiding Research discussion session at the Second International Conference on Sustainable Engineering Techniques

The conference will be held at the Institute of Technology / Baghdad on Hall No. (6) in the Department of Electrical Techniques

FINAL SUBMISSION OF THE PROJECT TITLED “THE REDEVELOPMENT OF THE AL RASHEED STREET INLETS”

Under the supervision of Prof. Sana Sati and the members Dr. Rawa Fawzi Naoum, Dr. Mofid Ihsan Al-Shawk, Dr. Nada Abdul Moin, assistant lecturer Ban Jalil and assistant lecturer,Sherin Kameland assistant lecturer Nada Khalil, the fourth stage submitted the final production of the designed project titled “THE REDEVELOPMENT OF THE AL RASHEED STREET INLETS”.
The project submission included a number of activities and lectures. The faculty members accompanied by the students visited the site of the project (Al-Rasheed Street) and continued to submit the initial stages of the project till the final output.
The head of the Department of Architecture Dr. Ibrahim Jawad Kadhim accompanied with the Scientific Assistant Dr. Abdullah Saadoun Al-Mamouri supervised the Final submission through the study of projects and discussing the designed proposals of the students.

The Student (Rasha Nuri Abbas) at the Department of Architecture has been granted M.Sc. degree on her thesis titled “Flexibility in the Design of Operation Room: Local Hospitals- Study Case "
The study focuses on surgical spaces because it represents the core of the building of hospitals, both "economically" and "technically" in which scientific progress and technological development require space to space to embody innovations in integrated surgical performance aiming at saving humanity.
According to the establishment of legislative laws , strict considerations of surgical spaces and permanent change in scientific progress in the field of surgery,
the concept of flexibility is an essential requirement in the design of contemporary surgical spaces is the importance of change in order to keep update of that development, which makes the concept of flexibility a "fundamental" requirement in the design of contemporary surgical spaces.
Where the research formulated its research problem as "lack of knowledge” regarding the basic vocabulary and indicators to achieve flexibility in the design system of the pavilion and surgical space designed according to modern international standards, and the mechanisms by applying those words within the development of local society."
The theoretical framework consisted of four main items: the main indicators in in achieving the flexibility of the design system of the surgical parlor , the strategies and mechanisms to achieve flexibility in the design system, the objectives of achieving flexibility in the design system and flexible surgical space.
The research aims to define flexible surgical spaces: It is an integrated design system responds to the circumstances of the forces of change depending on the characteristics of its systems .It is the formative functional system adapted for career change ,within physical structure viable transformation and has the ability of expansion in addition to the social and interactive system with unexpected circumstances able to solve the intractable aspects.

resulting from the effect of neglected buildings in the urban fabric .
The study also showed the role of legislations and laws in reducing the
negative impact of neglected buildings.
