In the presence of Dr. Ibrahim Jawad Kazem, Head of the Architecture Department, Dr. Ahmed Luay Ahmed, Head of the Architectural Branch, under the supervision of Dr. Huda Mohammed Suleiman, Head of the Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Unit, in collaboration with the Legal Affairs Department, a seminar titled "Deviant Ethical Ideas: Intellectual Extremism and Moral Deviance and the Iraqi Legal Perspective" was held on Wednesday, April 17, 2024, at 10:30 AM.

The seminar featured presentations by Mr. Haider Abdullah Fadel, Director of the Legal Affairs Department, and Dr. Wadhah Ghassan Abdulqadir. It focused on raising awareness among students about extremist ideas associated with moral deviance, as well as the Iraqi legal stance towards them aimed at deterring and ultimately eliminating these ideas to secure the community from their influence.

Dr. Ahmed Luay Ahmed, Head of the Architectural Design Department, participated in the regular meeting of the Committee for Correcting Project Implementation in Iraq using Building Information Modeling (BIM) technology. The meeting, which took place on Tuesday, April 23, 2024, included a visit to the new Central Bank of Iraq building in Jadriyah to learn about their experience in applying BIM in the architectural design, details, and services of this complex structure.

The visiting delegation was warmly welcomed by Dr. Engineer Samer Al-Jilawi, Deputy Director General of the Projects Department at the Central Bank of Iraq, and his engineers provided a detailed explanation of the building during the tour. The importance of BIM application for understanding and executing the details of this building was highlighted to the visiting delegation. They praised the efforts of the Iraqi engineering team involved in the project, which has developed successful practices in BIM application. It is expected that mechanisms will be established to transfer this experience to Iraqi engineering staff in the future.

At the end of the visit, the delegation commended this exemplary scientific hosting. The Committee for Correcting Project Implementation in Iraq is currently developing guidance and regulatory instructions for using BIM in building construction processes in Iraq. This effort has been coordinated with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to emphasize the importance of teaching BIM in engineering curricula across all Iraqi universities.

Under the patronage of Dr. Ibrahim Jawad Kazem, Head of the Architecture Department, and in the presence of Associate Professors Mufid Ihsan Al-Shawk and Dr. Yahya Adel Ibrahim, alongside the supervision of the Head of the Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Unit, Dr. Huda Mohammed Suleiman, a seminar titled "Community Security and its Relationship with Youth Intellectual Deviation" was held in collaboration with the Sustainability Paths Foundation. The seminar took place on Monday, April 22, 2024, at 10:30 AM. The keynote speaker was Sheikh Dr. Ali Al-Shukrji.
