A qualitative lecture for first-year students
In the presence of the Head of the Architectural Engineering Department, Professor Dr. Ibrahim Jawad
Kazem, the Scientific Assistant, Assistant Professor Dr. Mufid Ihsan Al-Shouk, and the Administrative
Assistant, Teacher, Dr. Yahya Adel Ibrahim, the Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Unit
was established, under the supervision of the teacher, Dr. Hoda Muhammad Suleiman, on Tuesday,
3/26/2024, a qualitative lecture was held for the first-year students in the department, delivered by (Dr.
Haider Hassan - lecturer in the Department of Electrical Engineering) entitled (Regulations and Duties of
Students on the University Campus). The lecture included the following topics:
The student’s duties towards the administration and faculty.
The student's duties towards his fellow students.
Explanation and clarification of the university disciplinary law.
The problems faced by students in their academic journey at the university were listened to, discussed,
and appropriate solutions were developed by clarifying the rights and duties of the student in
accordance with the university student discipline law. The lecture concluded with the head of the
department handing over a letter of thanks and gratitude to the lecturer, with the hope of
communicating it in subsequent lectures to our students.

Taking the evaluation exam with the compatible colleges in the Department of Architecture
Today, Sunday, 4/21/2024, at 10:30 a.m., the evaluation exam was launched with Al-Isra College, which
is compatible with it. The exam included all academic levels except the first stage and the compatible
academic subjects between the two universities in the specialty of architectural engineering.

Seminar in the Department of Architecture
In the presence of the Head of the Architectural Engineering Department, Professor Dr. Ibrahim Jawad
Kazem, and the Assistant Head of the Architectural Branch, Dr. Ahmed Louay Ahmed, and under the
supervision of the Assistant Head of the Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Unit, Dr.
Hoda Muhammad Suleiman, and in cooperation with the Legal Affairs Department, the symposium was
held entitled “Intellectual extremism, moral anomalies, and the position of Iraqi law on them”, on
Wednesday, 4/17/2024, at 10:30, it was delivered by the Director of the Legal Affairs Department,
Assistant Lecturer Haider Abdullah Fadel, and Assistant Dr. Waddah Ghassan Abdel Qader. The
symposium focused on educating students about extremist ideas related to moral abnormalities, as well
as the position of Iraqi law on them, in order to deter them, lead to their elimination and decline, and to
secure society from them.

Field exercise to evacuate the Department of Architecture Engineering in emergency situations
In the presence of the Head of the Department of Architectural Engineering, Professor Dr. Ibrahim
Jawad Kazem, the assistants, the heads of the branches, the teaching staff, and the department’s
students from all academic levels, on, Monday, 4/15/2024, a field practice training was conducted to
evacuate the building by the Civil Defense Committee. The training included directing all those in the
department on the evacuation process on each of the three floors by using the elevator and stairs and
heading to the emergency doors and entrances to the department, as well as conducting training for
employees and students on using the fire extinguisher for a fire that was started in a controlled manner
behind the department building.

Organizing a scientific visit for the department’s students and professors to the construction site of both the Al-Rawan Residential Complex and the Al-Rataj Residential Complex
For a short period, under the supervision of the Head of the Architectural Engineering Department, the
respected Professor Dr. Ibrahim Jawad, A scientific visit was organized for the department’s students
and professors to the construction site of both the Al-Rawan residential complex (multi-storey) and the
Al-Rataj residential complex (individual buildings) in Baghdad / Al-Jihad neighborhood area, on
Thursday, 4/4/2024, to follow up on the designs and construction details in a way that contributes to
enriching the students’ practical experience.
