The professor of the first stage of architectural sketching Dr. Mustafa Kamil organized on Tuesday,11ofApril 2023 a practical application to project the dimensions of the architectural reality represented by applying the elements of stairs and dynamic corridors of the department’s building on paper by adopting a sketching scale aiming at developing students’ skills to transform reality into sketching within architectural language.

University of Brighton / College of Architecture, Technology and Engineering in the United Kingdom, has invited Dr. Yahya Adel Ibraheem, a member of our academic staff, to present at PGR Returning Graduates Seminar Series in participation with Dr. Poorang Piroozfar. The workshop was held online on 3/30/2023 entitled:
Sustainable Building Design Integrated Facade Systems
Dr. Yahya Ibraheem, presented the topic of his doctoral thesis in terms of the learning journey and the most important contributions to knowledge of the thesis, from which the researche won two eliter international awards. The workshop was attended by a group of researchers and PhD candidates at the University of Brighton.

Iraqi Academic Syndicate has invited the representative of the syndicate at architectural department in university of technology , (Dr. Nagham Ahmed Jassim), and Dr. Yahya Adel Ibraheem, a member of our department’s academic staff, to attend the founding ceremony of the Iraqi Academic Syndicate - the Iraqi Academic Day - which was held in the Gilgamesh Hall in Babylon Hotel on Tuesday 4/4 / 2023. Notable presence of the representatives of His Excellency the President of the Republic, His Excellency the Prime Minister, and a group of representatives of ministries, in addition to members of the House of Representatives from the Parliamentary Education Committee, and the heads of Iraqi universities and colleges. The ceremony began with a fragrant recitation from the Holy Qur’an, followed by the speech of the President of the Academic Syndicate, and then a review of the most important challenges facing higher education. The ceremony concluded with a historical show from the Institute of Arts and honoring a group of distinguished Iraqi academics.

In cooperation with the Tasweer Cultural Platform, the Department of Architecture at the University of Technology held a workshop entitled "The Eye of Architecture" on Wednesday, the 29th of March 2023,  Architecture departments from various universities participated.

 Our department was represented by the  first stage student Hussein Ali Nuri from. During the workshop, Students discussed  the opportunities to apply  for workshops, training and seminars.

The  workshop was concluded by a tour in the headquarters of Makers – Iraq with  incentive rewards to five students from the Department of Architecture represented by a 50% discount for a month in the creativity  space.
