Certificate of thanks and Appreciation From the Secretary-General of the Council
of Ministers
.A student in the Department of Architecture Engineering was granted a letter of
thanks and appreciation from the Secretary-General of the Council of Ministers.
The student Ali Muthana salih in the Department of Architectural Engineering
was granted a certificate of appreciation from the Secretary-General of the
Council of Ministers in recognition of his distinguished efforts in presenting a
complete design for the building of the General Secretariat of the Council of
Ministers’ Protection Force, as the student completed his summer training as an
intern in the Engineering Department of the Council.

 Students of the Department of Architectural Engineering at the University of Technology (Zaid
Aqeel Hussein) and (Muhammad Sattar Jaber) successfully completed their training in the
(Masarat) program.
The program specializes in providing opportunities for students and graduates to discover
talents, acquire knowledge, developing skills through practical and professional experience.
(Masarat) is one of the Iraqi Maker Space for emerging projects-Baghdad).
During the three-month training trip, architecture students formed a team work on their
graduation project concerned with unifying the visual identity of an existing commercial project,
relying on architectural, interior and graphic design tools to create a distinctive image for the
project’s commercial activity.

 The Student (Shahad Abdul Abbas Hamodi ) at the Department of Architecture - urban design
branch has been granted a master degree of Architectural Design on her thesis titled “The
Impact Of Digital Architecture On The Strategic Value Of The Urban Fabric”
The discussion was held on Monday, 10 of July , 2023, in the Department of Architectural
Engineering at the University of Technology.
The thesis focused on the study of digital architecture and its major role in influencing the urban
fabric, aiming at revealing the effect of adding digital architecture on the strategic
morphological value of the fabric and to determine its measuring methods and indicators
accurately.
The research concluded that adding digital architecture to the urban fabric raises
morphological strategic value in addition to the strategic value socially and economically in the
long term, which contributes to restoring the cohesion of the site with the urban fabric and its
integration leading to achieve the perspectives of urban development.
-The discussion committee was headed by Professor .Dr. Asmaa Muhammad Al-Muqram
Department of Architectural Engineering - University of Technology.

 The Student Najah Anwar Zaki Al-Anbari at the Department of Architecture -
Architectural Technology Branch has been granted a master degree of Architectural
Design on her thesis titled ““Strategies and Techniques of the Subterranean
Architecture.”
The discussion was held on Tuesday , 27 of June, 2023, in the Department of
Architectural Engineering at the University of Technology.
The thesis focused on the concept of underground architecture, the challenges it
faces, considerations that must be adopted to make underground building
spaces fulfill the highest standards of indoor environmental quality in addition to
thermal and acoustic comfort.
The thesis aimed to reveal subterranean architecture techniques and strategies
that achieve those standards.
The thesis concluded that constructing underground architecture contributes to
improving the environmental aspect.
The research also revealed the existence of two basic strategies and seven
main techniques that contribute to developing and expanding the scope of this
type of modern construction.
-The discussion committee was headed by Professor .Dr. Ibrahim Jawad Kadhim -
Department of Architectural Engineering - University of Technology.

The Department’s Graduate Follow-up, Employment and Qualification Unit announced the
results of the (Best Architectural Portfolio) competition after esteemed jury completed the
evaluation of the participating designs based on the evaluation criteria that were previously
announced.
The top three participants:
 
 First winner: Yahya Ghassan Hikmat.
Second winner: Sajjad Mahmoud Sultan.
Third winner: Saif El-Din Hossam Abdel.
The unit members are grateful   to the winners and participants in general for participating in
the competition, emphasizing the importance of the portfolio in increasing opportunities for
