Third-year student Laith Ali Naeem was awarded Best Speaker as part of the University of Technology team, which secured first place in the 2nd edition of the Iraqi Universities Debate World Cup. The competition was organized by the International Academy for Leadership and Development, in collaboration with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, on Sunday, December 8, 2024.

The university's team was represented by a distinguished group of students under the supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Huda Mohammed Suleiman, the department’s activities coordinator. Laith Ali Naeem was recognized as the Best Speaker throughout the competition rounds, showcasing the academic, intellectual, and cultural excellence of University of Technology students, as well as their ability to engage in constructive dialogue and debate.
