Participation in a Panel Discussion

Dr. Bilal Samir Ali, a faculty member, participated in the panel discussion titled “Why Do We Write About Baghdad?” held at Daraj Library and Publishing House in Baghdad on Thursday, November 14, 2024.

The session explored the reasons behind writing about Baghdad, examining how the city has been depicted in literature over time by reviewing key books and writing styles dedicated to the capital. The discussion also addressed whether the focus should be on writing about Baghdad of the past, present, or future.

The event was attended by architects, architecture students, and others interested in the relationship between the city, books, and writing.
